Herbalism with Kwang Mae

Rooted in Connection. Guided by Nature.

This is not about a quick fix—it’s about transformation. Working with me is an invitation to step into a deeper relationship with your body, your emotions, the plants, and the living world around you. I approach herbalism not as a transactional solution, but as a co-creative, holistic process rooted in ecopsychology– the study of the relationship between humans and nature, and the impact of that relationship.

Rather than only addressing symptoms, we explore the deeper terrain: What’s underneath the anxiety, the fatigue, the grief? What is your body seeking? What is life asking of you? How can herbs support you on your journey? Herbs are not the fixers—they are wise allies. They offer nudges, remove blocks, and remind the body how to heal. My role is to support you in listening.

I will help you foster your unique connection with the plants, and nature as a whole, and discover how this relationship inspires your health and wholeness. Together, we’ll discover what plants want to work with you, how to bring them into your daily rhythms, and what practices can support your vitality. This might include herbal teas, tinctures, earth-based and embodiment practices, and lifestyle shifts--all shaped around what's doable and resonant for you. The real magic comes not just from the herbs themselves, but from the relationship you build with them.

This work is ideal for those navigating stress, grief, anxiety, depression, low energy, digestive issues, nervous system overwhelm, life transitions, feeling stuck, or simply a longing to feel more grounded, connected, and alive.

I am trained in both clinical herbalism and ecopsychology. I received my Master's degree in Ecopsychology from Naropa University, and I trained in clinical herbalism through the Herbal Academy. I am a lifelong student of both of these disciplines, and I have had many teachers along the way. Currently, I am studying astro-herbalism at the school of Evolutionary Herbalism, and intuitive plant medicine with Asia Suler.

This powerful combination of modalities, training, and experiences means I care just as much about the science of plant medicine as I do about the soul of it—and how your healing is intimately tied to the Earth’s. Let’s walk together in a way that honors both.
